" Beautiful weather and record attendance in Pregassona"
(Lausanne on 24 August 09) A week after the resounding success of Vevey’s step, the
Beach Volleyball World Championship Protour presented by Cornèrcard under the auspices
of the World Volleyball and Beach Volleyball Federation (WVBF in the text), the only world
volleyball institution to respect and totally apply the Olympic principles: democratic elections

American rivals Pagano and Frohman, winner a week earlier in Vevey. Once again, the
Bolivian Pavisic and Ballderama finished third with a victory in classification game against
Slovenian pair composed of Sarah Habjan and Ingrid Maraspin.
The men's final was won in three sets by the Italians Lazaro and Buragına against the
Vevey’s winning pair : Lah and Strele from Slovenia. The third place game finally saw a
Spanish victory with Alberti and Ten who defeated the Bolivians Garcia and Hazou in three
sets.

has not hidden its intention to examine the possibility to hold in a near future the tournament

exceptional spot and I am sure that the Beach Volleyball World Championship Protour will be
a great success there."
